About this role: Drive strategic relationships with some of the world's leading financial institutions while helping shape the growth of Wells Fargo's FIG franchise across EMEA. Wells Fargo is seeking an accomplished Lead Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to support the continued growth and strategic development of our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) – EMEA Banks Coverage franchise.

This highly visible role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with a portfolio of international bank clients, serving as a trusted advisor and lead coverage banker across Wells Fargo's Corporate & Investment Banking platform.

The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic client plans, originate and deliver complex financing and capital markets solutions, and identify opportunities to deepen client engagement across lending, markets, treasury, trade, payments, and risk management products.

Working closely with partners across Credit, Global Markets, Treasury Management, Trade, Payments, Risk, Legal, and Compliance, you will deliver integrated solutions that support clients' strategic objectives while driving sustainable revenue growth.

This role requires exceptional relationship management, transaction execution, and business development expertise, along with the ability to navigate sophisticated institutional clients and lead complex, multi-product opportunities across the EMEA banking sector.

You will play a key role in strengthening Wells Fargo's presence within the financial institutions landscape while delivering long-term value for clients and the franchise. In This Role, You Will

  • Support the strategic development and execution of relationship plans for a focused portfolio of multinational financial institution clients, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor across all Corporate & Investment Banking products.

  • FIG Product Specialists) to deliver fully integrated solutions.
  • Lead cross‑functional deal teams, ensuring aligned execution, credit risk management, operational readiness, and adherence to internal governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrate a strategic, consultative coverage approach, understanding clients’ business models, funding strategies, risk profiles, regulatory priorities, liquidity needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Steer credit discussions and risk assessments by preparing and presenting relationship strategies, deal justifications, capital allocation needs, and portfolio updates to senior Credit and FIG leadership.
  • Expand existing client relationships by deepening wallet share and strengthening multi‑level connectivity, including C‑suite, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Capital Markets counterparts.
  • Represent Wells Fargo in external market conversations, maintaining a strong understanding of macroeconomic trends, regulatory developments (e.g., Basel, PRA/ECB guidance)

  • Required Qualifications: Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience
  • equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Expertise in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets
  • Markets businesses, with a proven ability to originate, structure
  • execute complex credit and capital markets transactions for institutional clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field); advanced qualifications (MBA, CFA, ACT, or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Proven track record of originating and developing profitable client relationships, including revenue growth, cross‑sell execution

  • Strong technical understanding of key banking and markets products, including: Capital Markets, FX, Rates, ABS, Derivatives, Commodities, Equities, Corporate Lending & Credit Solutions, Trade Finance & Treasury Management: Payments, Liquidity and Cash Management.
  • Ability to articulate product capabilities and match solutions to client needs.
  • Exceptional credit structuring and documentation skills, with experience navigating complex credit frameworks, regulatory considerations, and risk appetite guidelines in a global banking environment.
  • Leadership capability, demonstrated through leading deal teams, influencing cross‑functional stakeholders, managing client strategies, or mentoring junior professionals.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders (internally and externally), lead client discussions, and present complex information concisely and effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with capability to assess client business models, regulatory impacts, market trends, and risk profiles to shape proactive relationship strategies.
  • Track record of operating within a highly regulated environment, adhering to governance standards, compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
