- Overview Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering, to lead high-performing engineering teams responsible for building and supporting secure, scalable

- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering an environment of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Coach team members through career development, performance feedback, and technical skill enhancement.
- Build team engagement and create opportunities for engineers to expand capabilities and take on new challenges.
- Promote an inclusive culture that encourages innovation, learning, and continuous improvement. Drive Software Delivery
- Lead the successful delivery of software solutions aligned to business and technology objectives.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering leaders to define priorities and execution plans.
- Ensure teams deliver high-quality software through effective planning, testing, automation, and operational excellence.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and technical challenges throughout the software development lifecycle. Enable Engineering Excellence
- Champion modern engineering practices, including Agile development, DevOps, automation, and CI/CD.
- Drive adherence to engineering standards, coding best practices, security requirements, and architectural principles.
- Support scalable, resilient, and maintainable platform development.
- Encourage data-driven decision making and continuous optimization of engineering processes. Collaborate Across the Organization
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Communicate project status, technical risks, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
- Build strong partnerships across Product, Architecture, Operations, Security, and Engineering teams.

- Experience leading software engineering teams in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, development methodologies, testing, and operational excellence.
- Ability to lead technical discussions while balancing business priorities and customer needs.
- Experience delivering scalable, secure, and resilient applications.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing engineering talent.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
