Senior Manager, National Accounts - HealthTrust
Work Flexibility: Remote Position summary: This individual will work with the Director, GPO - HealthTrust to execute an enterprise strategy for HealthTrust and the member health systems (IDNs). They will drive results with member health systems (IDNs) through HealthTrust by executing contract strategies in partnership with the Director, GPO - HealthTrust and engagement with member advisory boards.
They will also effectively engage with BU sales leaders and strategic sales across Stryker and will build collaborative strategies to support SYK goals of accelerating growth by BU, improving profitability and simplifying the customer experience within the HealthTrust membership.
This individual will also collaborate with the Director, GPO - HealthTrust to ensure pricing consistency amongst member health systems (IDNs). This individual will be accountable for the growth and protection of enterprise Stryker sales at member health systems.
The Sr. Manager, GPO - HealthTrust, must have deep experience in critical negotiations as well as influencing across multiple divisions of Stryker. In addition, they must be an expert across the enterprise business models, products and success metrics, while also establishing strong sales leadership relationships.
Essential duties & responsibilities: Deliver on Customer Solutions goals and metrics for HealthTrust member health systems (IDNs) Collaborate across Customer Solutions and Stryker in annual account planning for HealthTrust members. Support in the development of customer solutions, contract strategies and complex negotiations for GPO’s as needed Establish routine cadence of communication with Strat Sales and Contract Solution teams to understand their commercial strategies and ensure alignment of strategies for HealthTrust member health systems (IDNs) Ensure alignment to division/BU initiatives as outlined by BU pricing and contracting strategies defined annually and updated quarterly Make recommendations regarding their HealthTrust member health systems (IDNs) Assist in the development and implementation of metrics and measurement tools Complete monthly reports as specified by the Director, GPO - HealthTrust Attend SYK meetings, trade shows and industry events as necessary Proactively manage department expenses to pre-determined annual budgets Education & special trainings: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required MBA or advanced degree preferred Extensive negotiation training with complex customers and supply chain organizations Qualifications & experience: Experience Minimum of 5 years in medical device sales and/or marketing roles 10+ total years of industry experience with historical success working cross-divisionally and collaboratively Access to upper-level administrative and GPO supply chain relationships, as well as prior experience with complex hospital customers including regional collaboratives, specific GPOs or specific BU strategic sales experience (either MSNT or Ortho/Spine) Role Qualifications Must understand medical device markets, including disposables, capital equipment and implantable products to include joint replacement and fracture management.
Must have excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment to prioritize effectively Must be able to work with clinical and business personnel, both internal and external to Stryker Must be able to analyze and resolve issues using independent judgment Must be able to work well independently and without direct supervision Must be able to generate and explain detailed forecasts, guidelines, and procedures and execute on strategy Must be able to communicate concisely telephonically text and via email Required proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Other Skills Excellent emotional and executive intelligence Excellent analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Highly motivated Collaborative Regional sales management or other leadership experience Physical requirements & work environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
