The Federal Systems Technology department of the USFGMD is responsible for service supporting a charter of implementing and integrating complex systems sold worldwide to the US Federal Government. As a USFGMD Onsite LMR Technical System Manager, you will be exposed to a wide variety of communications requirements in both the Presale and Post Sale phases of a project.
These applications span the entire breadth of the US Federal Government throughout the world. Job Description Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training on state-of-the-art Motorola Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Astro 25 trunking products.
Clearly verbalize and communicate technical concepts and recommendations to customers and within the Motorola Solutions organization. Provide a detailed understanding of Motorola systems to assist in the design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Motorola’s product lines.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software and how to program subscribers and infrastructure equipment. Candidate Experience Experience working with Infrastructure Technologies, including Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console lines, and third-party networking equipment.
Strong networking skills are required. Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and group policies in a network administrative capacity. Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.
Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification. Excellent communication skills and a consistently professional image. Travel & Location Location: Dedicated onsite position working directly at the customer's location in Seattle, WA. Proximity Requirement: Candidates must reside within 1 hour of Seattle, WA.
Travel: Must be willing to travel by air up to 10% of the time. Candidate Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain the necessary security clearance as required by government contracts. Must be willing and capable of meeting requirements to obtain a DHS Public Trust Clearance.
Employment is contingent upon passing this clearance. Required to complete Standard Form 89 Questionnaire for National Security Positions. Must be able to obtain a passport. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position. #LI-CC1 Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Basic Requirements Bachelor Degree OR 5+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Public Safety, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment, Engineering, IT or Military Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
