Our values – care, courage and curiosity – guide how we work and how we treat each other. About the Role We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Underground Mining to provide technical leadership and mine engineering expertise across mine planning, scheduling, and operational support activities.

Reporting to the GM Technical Studies Americas , you will play a key role in supporting safe, productive, and economically sustainable underground mining operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain fit-for-purpose mine planning, scheduling, and reporting systems to ensure the integrity and timely delivery of operational and management information.

Implement and continuously improve mine engineering systems, including mine design controls, scheduling, forecasting, production monitoring, and reporting processes. Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities to safely improve productivity, operating performance, and operational outcomes.

Monitor and communicate variances against short- and medium-term mine plans and support corrective actions where required. Facilitate and participate in technical risk assessments and contribute to effective risk management practices. Develop, review, and enhance technical standards, procedures, and engineering practices.

Support workforce capability planning by identifying technical resource requirements and contributing to recruitment and succession planning. Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and professional development support to engineers and technicians.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives are valued and innovation is encouraged. What you’ll bring Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related discipline. Significant experience in underground mining operations and mine engineering.

Strong understanding of underground mine planning, scheduling, production forecasting, and operational reporting. Experience supporting safe and efficient mining operations through sound technical decision-making. Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and communicate technical risks to a range of stakeholders.

Experience contributing to mining studies and long-term planning initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical recommendations. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and sound business judgment. Proven capability to coach, mentor, and develop technical professionals.
