Additional information can be accessed at Company & Jobs and Career Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned finance professional (approx. 5 – 8 years of experience) to assist the controlling function in our India business and Manufacturing plant. This person will ensure strong cost control, internal financial governance, accurate reporting, and will act as a business finance partner. The Controlling associate will report to the Head of Controlling and work closely with accounting, operations, and business units. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning o Prepare for annual budgeting process, collaborating with business units to translate strategic goals into financial plans. o Maintain rolling forecasts (monthly/quarterly) to reflect changing business conditions. o Analyze variances (actuals vs budget/forecast), identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. 2. Cost & Variance Analysis (Controlling) o Monitor and control cost-centers and profit-centers
- manage cost allocation and cost-control measures. o Conduct detailed variance analysis for revenue, operating expenses, and other financial metrics. o Implement and enforce budget control policies for financial discipline across the organization 3. Capital Budgeting and Financial Viability analysis: o Review, analyze, and validate CapEx proposals submitted by business units. o Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment returns, payback periods, NPV, IRR, and risk factors. o Assess technical, operational, and economic feasibility of proposed investments. o Compare alternative investment scenarios and sensitivity analyses. 4. Management Reporting & Internal Controls o Oversee monthly/quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow schedules, and cost reporting. o Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure compliance with accounting policies and corporate governance standards. o Work with the accounting team on month-end and quarter-end close processes 5. Business Partnership o Partner with business functions (Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, etc.) to provide financial insights and controlling support. o Support business initiatives (cost optimization, capital investment, process improvement) with financial analysis. o Advise functional heads to manage cost structure, profitability levers, and resource utilization efficiently 6. Process Improvement & System Implementation o Identify and drive enhancements in controlling processes (budgeting, reporting, variance control). o Assist in implementation/upgrades of ERP / BI / controlling tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy. o Promote standardization, automation, and data governance across controlling and finance teams o Foster a culture of financial discipline, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership 7. Risk Management & Financial Governance o Identify financial risks (cost overruns, margin pressures, inefficient cost centers) and propose mitigation strategies. o Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards. o Support internal and external audit processes and ensure robust documentation and financial governance. Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. Professional qualification such as CA / CMA s strongly preferred.
- Experience: 5–8 years in controlling / management accounting / corporate finance / cost control roles in Indian or multinational companies.
- Accounting & Controlling Expertise: Deep understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, cost accounting, Product costing and internal control frameworks.
- Technical / Systems Skills: o Proficiency in MS - Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic financial models), MS – Power point o Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP CO-PA) and controlling tools / budgeting tools o Proficiency with BI / visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to turn financial data into business insights
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to present financial analysis to business leaders, influence decision-making, and communicate with clarity.
