  • As a member of the Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) Sourcing team, you will execute procurement activities specializing in tail spend management across two key areas: reactively sourcing purchase requisitions submitted directly by business requesters
  • proactively analyzing unmanaged spend to expand catalog coverage and reduce non-compliant purchasing. You will conduct competitive sourcing events through e-sourcing platforms, leveraging AI-powered automation tools to drive efficient processing, faster cycle times

This role is part of the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and supports operations based in APAC (Asia-Pacific), NA (North America) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) customer requirements. Key job responsibilities - Execute reactive sourcing for purchase requisitions from business requesters — conducting competitive sourcing events, evaluating supplier quotes
  • awarding to compliant suppliers across multiple categories and regions within GPO (Global Procurement Organization) scope. - Leverage and actively adopt AI-powered procurement tools and automation technologies (e.g. automated RFQ (Request for Quotation) generation, intelligent vendor matching, autonomous quote reading) to process sourcing requests efficiently, reduce cycle times
  • drive data-informed decision-making. - Proactively analyze unmanaged spend data to identify catalog expansion opportunities and reduce non-compliant free text purchasing, using analytical platforms and AI-driven insights to prioritize high-impact opportunities. - Ensure adherence to Amazon's Global Spending and Transaction Policy (GSTP) and comply with GPO procurement policies, procedures

Using AI-powered e-sourcing tools, you'll launch automated RFQs (Requests for Quotation), review AI-generated supplier recommendations
  • validate autonomous quote evaluations — stepping in with human judgment where supplier responses require complex specification alignment or negotiation. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with business requesters to clarify requirements, collaborate with Category Management to align on preferred suppliers
  • continuously leverage automation to handle routine sourcing activities while you focus on higher-complexity events. You'll analyze spend data using analytical platforms to identify opportunities for catalog expansion and work on reducing free text spend across your assigned portfolio. About the team The Global Procurement Central Services (GPCS) Sourcing team sits within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and manages transactional and high-volume tail spend procurement across Amazon's worldwide operations. We operate from three hubs — Barcelona (Spain), San José (Costa Rica)
  • Hyderabad (India) — providing follow-the-sun coverage across NA, EMEA, LATAM
  • APAC. Our team processes thousands of purchase requisitions monthly, conducting competitive sourcing events to deliver savings, compliance
  • catalog coverage. We are actively scaling AI-powered automation and autonomous sourcing technologies to transform how procurement is executed at Amazon.
  • Knowledge of advanced English at CEFR level B2/C1 - Experience with MS Office, in particular MS Excel - High school or equivalent - Comfort with technology adoption and willingness to work with AI-powered tools and automation platforms
