- The Categories team, takes on a category-specific focus on the experiences that matter most to travelers. Our mission is to own and grow a portfolio of Entrance ticket categories — spanning both established and emerging segments.
- The role
- We are looking for a senior strategic leader to lead a team of Senior Managers who build the strategies, partnerships
- capabilities across distinct categories. You will set the vision and direction for how GetYourGuide enters and scales specific verticals This role reports into the Head of Top Points of Interest.
- Your mission
- Assess and prioritise sub-categories based on market opportunity, traveler demand, and strategic fit.
- Translate market analysis and traveler insights into a clear roadmap for growing each sub-category.
- Develop the value proposition and go-to-market approach for each sub-category, driving performance across both established and emerging segments.
- Oversee the end-to-end performance and growth of each sub-category, setting clear goals, milestones, and success metrics.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other teams
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Go-to-Market Managers, each responsible for owning and scaling an individual sub-category.
- Report monthly progress across all sub-categories to key stakeholders, including the Executive team. Stakeholders.
- Represent the team's strategy and results with clarity and conviction, driving buy-in and resource allocation.
- Define team ways of working, playbooks, and processes to enable scale.
- Your toolkit
- You have 5 to 10 years work experience, incl. people management. Either at a large tech company (> € 1 billion annual revenue), Start-up and/or at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company
- You are entrepreneurial, business savvy, creative, and willing to get your hands dirty
- You are a strong people leader who knows how to hire, develop, and retain talent while maintaining a high bar for output and ambition.
- You are a sharp analytical thinker who builds conviction with data, using tools like Excel, Looker, and external market datasets.
- You thrive in ambiguity: you take the lead without needing detailed instructions and bring structure to complex, cross-functional problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- You are a skilled communicator and influencer, able to align stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
- Marketing and or Product knowledge is a strong plus
