What Quality Assurance contributes to Cardinal Health “This role partners with SOX process owners to develop testing strategies and address issues identified during control assessments, ensuring that all controls identified by internal and external audits are effectively implemented and operating as intended.

The role also collaborates with IT to automate operational controls and ensure accurate and complete data availability for testing.” This position will be expected to interact with a variety of key individuals within the Opti Freight, Finance, IT, and Legal organizations including Corporate Audit personnel, business process owners, and segment leadership.

Responsibilities Develop and manage the internal controls framework, including SOX compliance, Internal Audit, and related control activities. Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure timely, complete, and accurate execution of SOX controls and audit requirements.

Collaborate with Corporate Audit through regular meetings and support issue resolution. Monitor the progress and outcomes of control testing and process reviews. Function as the primary point of contact for testers and reviewers, addressing queries and clarifications.

Partner with process owners to design and implement effective remediation plans. Define, track, and enhance quality and control effectiveness metrics. Support the design and implementation of fraud risk mitigation controls. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 6+ years of relevant experience (preferred) Technical Skill Requirements: 6+ years of experience in Finance or Operations, with exposure to risk management, compliance, or internal/external audit Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements and frameworks Proven ability to evaluate, document, and strengthen internal controls within complex processes.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and root cause critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions aligned with organizational objectives and influence stakeholders. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and people skills.

Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking capabilities Ability to work effectively in a performance-driven, collaborative environment. Role Expectations Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operational activities within the function.

Apply and enforce policies, procedures, and control standards. Ensure compliance with established guidelines and frameworks. Make decisions that directly impact operational performance and stakeholder outcomes. Collaborate regularly with team members, stakeholders, and management across levels.
