JOB TITLE: Senior Specialist, HRIS What Learning Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Learning Operations is responsible for leading the definition and implementation of the learning technology strategy to support learning activities for internal and external customers.
Maintains a validated, FDA-compliant learning management system and supports learning technology across the enterprise. Administer and manage Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) LMS, including user management, learning assignments, curricula, certifications, and system configurations Configure and maintain organizational units (OU structure), security roles, workflows, and learning objects Manage the full course lifecycle including creation, updates, versioning, and archiving Perform system testing, validation, and support release management activities Troubleshoot LMS issues and provide end-user and administrator support Ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and optimal LMS performance Stay current on CSOD enhancements and recommend improvements aligned with business needs Utilize advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, dashboards) to analyze large datasets and track learning metrics Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting data across systems Serve as the primary LMS subject matter expert (SME) for internal stakeholders, including L&D, HR, and business teams Communicate complex technical information in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective learning technology solutions Ensure LMS compliance with FDA regulations and Cardinal Health policies, including audits, validation processes, and SOP documentation Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) LMS Strong expertise in LMS administration, configuration, and governance Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, dashboards) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FDA compliance, audits) is preferred ServiceNow ticket tracking & issue resolution HTML support for LMS/content What is expected of you and others at this level Apply working knowledge of learning technologies and LMS systems to execute tasks of moderate complexity Analyze technical and operational challenges and implement effective solutions Use sound judgment within defined processes and guidelines Work independently with general guidance and collaborate effectively with teams Ensure accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement in all deliverables (The below statement is auto populated on Workday by default.
