About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant within the Higher Risk Customer Management (HRCM) organization supporting the Wholesale Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) program . This role is responsible for conducting complex customer risk assessments for commercial, corporate, and investment banking clients, utilizing internal and external research to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer ownership structures, business activities, operating models, product usage, geographic footprint, and overall financial crimes risk profile.

The successful candidate will analyze information from a variety of sources, identify potential risk indicators, and synthesize findings into clear, concise, and well-supported risk narratives and recommendations for business and Financial Crimes Risk Management stakeholders.

This position requires strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while working with customers that may operate across multiple jurisdictions, including higher-risk countries and industries

In This Role, You Will

  • other risk management activities.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to evaluate complex business structures, ownership hierarchies, operating models, and customer relationships.
  • Working knowledge of commercial, corporate, and investment banking customer segments, products, and services.
  • Experience conducting research using internal systems and external public-source information to assess customer risk.
  • Understanding of international business operations, cross-border activities, and geographic risk considerations, including exposure to customers operating in higher-risk jurisdictions.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop comprehensive, accurate, and concise customer risk assessments and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present findings, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions across business and risk partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting quality and productivity expectations.
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and contributing to strategic initiatives in a risk or operations environment.
  • Job Expectations: Conduct detailed reviews of higher-risk Wholesale Banking customers to evaluate financial crimes risks and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Analyze customer information, business activities, ownership structures, product usage, transactional activity, and geographic exposure to develop a holistic risk assessment.
  • Perform internal and external research to validate customer information and identify potential risk factors.
  • Prepare thorough, well-reasoned customer risk summaries and recommendations for review by business and Financial Crimes approvers.
  • Communicate findings effectively to business partners, risk teams, and leadership through both written documentation and verbal discussions.
  • Exercise independent judgment when assessing customer risk and determining appropriate escalation or mitigation actions.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support regulatory, audit, and policy-driven initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance risk assessments, and strengthen the overall effectiveness of the Wholesale EDD program.
  • Support a culture of accountability, risk awareness, and continuous improvement within Higher Risk Customer Management.
  • Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
  • Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
