We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Programme Delivery Excellence Director to join our Delivery Assurance team. This role will be pivotal to raising change delivery performance across LSEG’s most significant strategic initiatives.

The role holder will lead delivery assurance activity on complex business, technology and data-enabled transformation programmes, and be responsible for leading thematic improvement initiatives, to drive future ‘right first time’ delivery, with increased velocity and reduced friction.

You will bring industry-leading subject matter expertise in successful delivery of major programmes in Financial Services, and a knowledge and passion for change leadership in complex organisations spanning multi-party ecosystems. A strategic mind and focus on business outcomes are essential , as is the ability to consult with curiosity , and desire to delve into the details of ‘what might be wrong’ and ‘how to set up for success.

You will not be starting from scratch. LSEG’s Purpose and Values explicitly include Transformation and Change. An established toolset (based on Clarity, Asana and Jira) and Group Delivery Disciplines (GDDs) have been rolled out. An Enterprise Risk Framework with explicit focus on Transformation Risk exists.

The Delivery Office sits as part of a Performance Office with Tools, Data and Operational Excellence sister functions. Together, we have the group-wide mandate to drive continuous improvement across the change portfolio. The Programme Delivery Assurance Director will input into the Head of Delivery Assurance, leading a varying Delivery Excellence and Assurance portfolio , collaborating with colleagues across LSEG’s Divisions and functions, providing valuable insights on delivery findings, implementing improvement initiatives and reporting to Portfolio and enterprise boards.

This role requires a blend of strategic oversight, hands-on consulting and programme assurance, initiative leadership, and customer engagement across internal and external partners. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Lead and coordinate deep-dive delivery assurance reviews on complex strategic programmes using industry standard frameworks and GDDs to review against.

Identify early indicators of delivery risk and support root cause analysis and resolution / delivery improvement planning Track and report on delivery assurance-related programmatic, business, and financial objectives Identify and lead on firm-wide and Divisional thematic improvement initiatives to improve LSEG’s delivery methods, processes and tools including use of programme data, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve delivery.

Provide regular updates to the Portfolio, Programme and Divisional / Enterprise Boards on delivery assurance findings, risks, and improvement progress Align delivery assurance activities with Risk and Audit functions to ensure consistent assurance standards Engage with Delivery Portfolios to monitor delivery assurance compliance.

Collaborate with the Transformation Community to communicate delivery excellence expectations and share insights on best practices Build and maintain relationships with external delivery assurance specialists to support technical, design, and engineering reviews Identify programmes requiring enhanced delivery assurance through system-driven metrics and performance indicators Drive the evolution of LSEG’s delivery capability and approach, including through internal learning and development, uplifting GDDs, driving improvements to processes and tools based on insights and lessons learned Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across the investment and transformation communities WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Proven experience as a Programme Director or senior-level Programme Manager, with hands-on experience of delivering complex transformation programmes including large system implementations Proven experience in a senior delivery assurance role within a complex, multi-programme environment Strong understanding of capital investment governance, delivery frameworks, and risk management Demonstrated ability to lead deep-dive reviews and influence senior customers Experience working with external delivery assurance providers and managing third-party assurance engagements Familiarity with engineering and technical quality assurance practices, including delivery and testing metrics and root cause analysis Sophisticated knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies including agile, waterfall and hybrid project management (qualifications or equivalent certifications crucial) Familiarity with Product Management principles Qualifications and Experience Required Strategic problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work across multiple programmes and adapt to changing priorities Deep understanding of delivery methodologies and assurance frameworks Collaborative leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement Career Stage: Director London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Information: Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
