As a Senior Regional WHS Manager, your role is key to shaping safety strategy across multiple sites and driving consistency at a network level. You'll lead a team of WHS Managers, influence senior leadership
- champion a culture of safety and inclusivity that sets the standard across your region. Key job responsibilities Oversee regional safety performance metrics and communicate results. Support site leaders in communication, training
- execution of WHS programmes. Ensure compliance with EU and national occupational safety law. Conduct systematic safety assessments to prioritize site improvements. Develop and implement training programmes for managers and employees. Analyze accident data and develop prevention programmes. Review changes to standard operating procedures and issue safety recommendations. Maintain communication with regulatory authorities and insurers. Lead a team of WHS Managers. A day in the life As a Senior Regional WHS Manager, you'll oversee multiple sites across your region, providing strategic direction and ensuring consistency in safety standards. You'll travel regularly between sites to conduct reviews, mentor site WHS leaders
- drive regional improvement programmes. Your role involves balancing hands-on operational support with strategic planning — setting regional priorities, managing escalations
- representing WHS in senior leadership discussions. You'll build relationships with external stakeholders including regulators and industry bodies
- champion best practices across the network. About the team The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations
- guaranteeing the safety of our work environments. The team offers a variety of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. Regardless of your role, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of the safety strategy across the entire network.
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal - A degree
- equivalent level of qualification in-line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), in the Occupational Safety field. - Alternative a NEBOSH Diploma or an IOSH Diploma is required. - Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation. - Relevant experience managing a team.
- Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen methodologies. - Experience planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives. - Membership of a professional body in the field of occupational health and safety. - Experience managing and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers, reports and leadership.
