Key job responsibilities In this role, you will focus on complex economic policy, competition policy and digital policy topics. You will monitor political trends and the legislative agenda, analyze new policy proposals and develop encompassing advocacy strategies. You will work together with Amazon’s public policy, public relations, legal
  • business teams to advance our policy agenda and business objectives across the company. You will be responsible for preparing, coordinating and supporting engagements with policymakers, regulators, academia and other non-governmental groups in support of our consumer-centric business model. You will prepare documents, narratives and reports for external and internal audiences. You will participate in internal and external conferences and events and build a strong, stakeholder network. This is an individual contributor role, that works together with cross-functional teams and colleagues across the EU and globally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law or related field - Relevant public policy experience within a company, in public administration, a trade association or think tank. - Written and spoken fluency in English and German.
  • Master's degree in an area of study relevant to this role. - Proven ability to convey complex arguments in writing. - Highly effective interpersonal communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate and political levels. - Proven track record of successfully working with a wide array of functional groups across an organization, as well as working independently. - Ability to analyze legislative and regulatory proposals, understand business implications
  • develop policy documents for internal and external customers. - Proven track record of problem solving and strategic thinking. - Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment, decision-making skills
  • political acumen. - Demonstrated experience developing and improving operational processes to drive business efficiencies. - A self-starter who can take general direction and produce specific results. - A track record of highest integrity.
