What you’ll do We are looking for a Senior Manager, Regional Marketing, DACH to build and scale Airwallex’s marketing engine across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with an initial focus on Germany as our priority growth market in the region.
Based in Berlin, you will lead the local marketing strategy across field, growth, partner, and content motions, acting as the in-market owner who connects brand, pipeline generation, and commercial execution. You will work closely with DACH sales leadership, the VP Marketing EMEA, and global marketing teams to turn our go-to-market priorities into measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
This is a highly cross-functional role for a hands-on operator who can build from the ground up. You will own high-impact regional programs such as flagship events, partner ecosystem initiatives, localised campaigns, and market-facing content, while ensuring strong lead management and close alignment with sales.
This role is based in our Berlin office, with a requirement to work from the office three days per week. We do not offer remote contracts for this position. Responsibilities Build and execute the DACH regional marketing strategy, with a particular focus on accelerating pipeline and revenue growth in Germany.
Own the planning and execution of integrated regional marketing programs across field marketing, digital demand generation, content, partnerships, and local brand initiatives. Lead the end-to-end delivery of events in DACH, including owned, sponsored, and partner-led programs, ensuring clear commercial goals, strong follow-up, and measurable pipeline impact.
Develop and strengthen relationships with key local ecosystems, including founders, associations, partner communities, and strategic networks that matter in the DACH market. Drive partner marketing initiatives with channel and strategic partners, creating co-branded campaigns and joint go-to-market programs that generate awareness, credibility, and opportunities.
Partner with regional sales and business leaders to translate commercial priorities into focused marketing plans, account support, and market-level growth plays. Work closely with global growth, paid media, ABM, campaign, SEO, and content teams to adapt and localise programs for DACH audiences across SME and Enterprise segments.
Lead the creation and localisation of German-language and region-specific content, including campaigns, case studies, event messaging, sales enablement materials, and other in-market assets. Own the regional lead journey from capture through handoff, ensuring tight coordination with sales and strong follow-up processes that maximise conversion from marketing activity.
Track, analyse, and communicate performance across channels and funnel stages, turning insights into clear recommendations and continuous optimisation. Act as the voice of the DACH market within the wider marketing organisation, bringing local customer, partner, and competitive insight into regional and global planning.
Who you are We’re looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory. Minimum qualifications Significant B2B marketing experience in high-growth technology, fintech, SaaS, or related sectors, with ownership of regional or country-level marketing programs.
Demonstrated success building and executing integrated marketing plans that drive pipeline and revenue, particularly across field, partner, and growth marketing motions. Strong experience running events and ecosystem programs that create measurable commercial outcomes, not just brand visibility.
Proven ability to work closely with sales and commercial teams to develop joint plans, align on targets, and deliver shared outcomes. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret channel and funnel performance, build clear narratives from data, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent project ownership and execution skills, with the ability to operate as a self-starter in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Native-level or very strong German language skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work from our Berlin office three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Preferred qualifications Experience building or scaling a regional marketing function, or serving as an early in-market marketing hire in a new or rapidly growing region.
Experience in payments, financial services, SaaS, or other complex B2B categories with multi-product value propositions. Strong understanding of the DACH business landscape, including relevant founder, finance, technology, and partner ecosystems.
Hands-on experience across both growth and field marketing, including local campaign execution, event strategy, and partner-led demand generation. Familiarity with modern B2B marketing tools and workflows, including CRM, attribution, analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrixed organisation, collaborating effectively with regional and global stakeholders. What success looks like In this role, success will be measured by your ability to build repeatable regional marketing programs that increase awareness, strengthen local market credibility, generate qualified pipeline, and improve conversion from marketing activity into commercial outcomes.
You will bring structure, ownership, and in-market insight to the DACH marketing motion, helping Airwallex scale more effectively in one of its most important growth markets.
