- AMS seeks an Inventory Manager to own the flow and control of material across multiple facilities. You are accountable for kitting, materials consumption
- inventory control end to end, from receiving and put-away through staging kits for production, tracking what is consumed on the floor
- keeping inventory records accurate across raw materials, hardware and purchased components, consumables, work in process

- Lead and develop the inventory and kitting team across SEA109 and BFI1, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and day-to-day priorities
- Own the standard work, procedures, and metrics for kitting, consumption, and inventory control, and drive them consistently at both sites
- Foster a safety-first culture and enforce material handling, storage, and equipment safety protocols Kitting and Bin System
- Design and stand up the kitting and bin system at both sites from the ground up, including bin layouts, point-of-use locations, kit cart and container standards, labeling, and transaction flow
- Build quality in by design through point-of-use presentation, error-proofing, clear identification, and first-in-first-out control, so the right material reaches the right job in the right condition
- Run the kitting operation so complete, accurate kits are staged on time, coordinating release with the Production Planner to match the build and shipping schedule
- Set kit accuracy and on-time delivery targets and improve the system with data as products and volumes change Material Availability and Consumption
- Own material availability so the lines always have what they need, treating a line-down for missing material as a top-priority failure
- Set and maintain reorder points, safety stock, and min and max levels tuned to usage and lead times, manage point-of-use replenishment, and drive shortage recovery with purchasing
- Track consumption in the ERP, reconcile to work orders and bills of material, and drive down loss, miscount, and unrecorded usage
- Report consumption and demand trends to planning and purchasing, balancing availability against inventory investment Inventory Control and Accuracy
- Own inventory accuracy across raw materials, purchased components, consumables, work in process, and finished goods at both sites
- Run the cycle count and physical inventory program, resolve discrepancies, and maintain record accuracy to target
- Maintain storage locations, labeling, and 5S standards, and manage work-in-process and finished goods locations, including buffer, controlling aging, obsolescence, and excess
- Partner with Buyers, the Production Planner, and Supply Chain Manager on inventory levels and long-lead coverage, and manage turns and working capital Deviation Control, Quality, and Continuous Improvement
- Own the identification, segregation, and disposition of material deviations, working with the Quality Manager so only accepted material reaches the floor
- Investigate root cause and put controls in place to prevent recurrence, using deviation data to hold suppliers and internal processes accountable
- Maintain accurate item, SKU, location, and bill-of-material data in the ERP and purchasing system, with barcoding and documentation that support traceability and ISO 9001 compliance
- Analyze inventory and kitting metrics such as record accuracy, kit fill rate, stockouts, variance

- 3+ years of with Excel experience - 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience - Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
