AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. How you'll make an impact: Business Process: Lead a team of underwriters in the area of Crisis Solutions and KRE and retain and profitably grow an existing significant book of business.

Handle underwriting referrals within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority Assess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts (as required); regular contact with brokers; thorough review of proposal; and review of claims history and general company information Use designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information-tracking approach across Profit Centre.

Ensure consistent and accurate capture of data relevant to this business by the underwriting team and functions. Customer and Sales: Together with our crisis solutions vendors and other parts of the AIG & Talbot organisation where appropriate, originate business opportunities from existing and prospective clients to cater to their crisis response and/or KRE exposures.

Provide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. Exhibit sales orientated behaviours, defined by Management as: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable Generate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market.

Serve as guide, thought leader and/or referral point for all Crisis Solutions – Kidnap & Ransom Underwriters and other AIG Profit Centres. Connect Underwriters with brokers. People: Ensure all brokers and clients are treated fairly. Ensure customer-centric approach.

Reporting/Compliance: Ensure contract certainty. Conduct self-audit as required. Ensure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities. What you'll need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Solid/proven underwriting or broking experience is required in the Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom classes.

Proven ability to present and sell Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom to clients. Full understanding of AIG UK’s Crisis Solutions and Kidnap & Ransom product. Strong communication skills. Time management - ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines.

Ability to analyse financial statements. Ability to network and build relationships.
