Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Division (IED) seeks a Vice President to join its Risk Management team, responsible for the negotiation, drafting, and execution of trading agreements with institutional clients. The role requires a strong analytical thinker with the ability to assess complex client negotiation requests across a broad suite of agreements, including but not limited to, equity derivatives, prime brokerage, securities lending, futures, listed options, and OTC clearing agreements as well as equity Master Confirmation Agreements and confidentiality agreements.

The successful candidate will bring a legal background in trading documentation or financial services, operate collaboratively within our team of attorneys, and demonstrate the judgment and presence expected at the senior vice president level.

Responsibilities Negotiate full suite of trading agreements including, but not limited to, ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Annexes, Master Securities Lending Agreements, Prime Brokerage agreements, Listed Derivatives agreements, OTC clearing agreements, tri-party control agreements, master confirm agreements, confidentiality agreements, electronic trading agreements and other trading-related agreements Liaise with IED Sales and Trading desks, as well as members of Firm’s Legal, Risk, Credit and Onboarding teams Client base includes hedge funds, mutual funds, pensions, insurance companies, banks, corporates and money managers Act as primary point of contact with clients and their counsel for all negotiations.

Interact with clients in connection with new industry rules and regulations. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
