Africa Command (USAFRICOM) in Stuttgart, Germany. This position includes OCONUS travel and offers the chance to advance your career in a mission driven, operational environment. As part of the Collaboration team and the ELITE program, you will help design and deliver enterprise solutions that directly enable USAFRICOM’s J6 mission, improving readiness, accountability, and decision quality data across the command.

Responsibilities
- As the Tech Lead for the USAFRICOM J6 Power Platform Team, you will drive the technical strategy, architecture
- development of enterprise grade solutions using Agile methodologies and the full Microsoft Power Platform suite. Your work will support core J6 directorate processes, including collaboration tooling, mission-enablement services
- workflow automation across the command. You will:
- Lead and Mentor - Direct a team of 8 developers, conduct solution reviews, and establish coding and architectural best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Architect Solutions - Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Collaborate with J6 stakeholders and end‑ users to gather requirements, translate complex operational needs into technical architectures, and deliver rapid, high ‑quality products.
- Apply advanced data modeling practices to build scalable Dataverse structures supporting J6 mission readiness, asset tracking, and other critical datasets.
- Architect integrations between Power Platform solutions and external DoD systems using APIs, REST endpoints, and Azure services, ensuring secure data synchronization.
- Direct Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategies, manage deployment pipelines, and enforce governance policies within Power Platform environments.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with senior military and civilian leadership, providing technical recommendations and presenting solution concepts.
- Design and develop enterprise and mission specific applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and security compliance of approved third party solutions within the environment.
- Drive innovation in the platform through AI (Copilot, Gemini, AskSage, Claude) Qualifications: Required:
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI (No Waiver).
- BA/BS and 7+ years of recent specialized experience.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Canvas Apps, Model Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) and SharePoint.
- Proven experience serving in a technical lead or solution architect role, overseeing developers and system architecture.
- Demonstrated experience applying Agile software development methodologies and managing ALM.
- Ability to document system architecture, workflows, and processes.
- Extensive experience working with relational databases (SQL, Dataverse, etc)
- Security+ and relevant Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-400, PL-600).
- TESA eligibility. Desired:
- Experience developing and sustaining enterprise level Power Apps solutions.
- Knowledge of Power Platform ALM, deployment pipelines, and environment strategies within an IL5 environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Power Platform administration via the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC) and environment routing strategies.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
