Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Staff Quality Engineer to Develop and implement quality engineering strategies for large-scale, consumer-facing healthcare and retail pharmacy applications.
Duties include: implement cross-functional quality initiatives and collaborate with senior leadership to align quality objectives with organizational goals; design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks for mission-critical systems, including integration of advanced technologies such as AI and robotics for testing processes; establish and maintain quality governance standards for functional, regression, automation, performance, security, and compliance testing; ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory compliance requirements and retail industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, PCI-DSS, or comparable standards) in all testing processes; provide technical guidance and mentorship to quality engineering staff, promoting best practices in automation, shift-left testing, and defect prevention; coordinate with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure quality compliance for enterprise platforms, including web, mobile, API, and retail point-of-sale systems; conduct risk assessments for major releases and define mitigation strategies to protect system stability and customer experience; prepare and present quality metrics, automation coverage, and release readiness assessments to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology
- a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Requires one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Designing and implementing automated test frameworks or suites for large, distributed, cloud-hosted, or native mobile applications
- Developing with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- Programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Retail industry standards and healthcare regulatory compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI-DSS, or comparable standards
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Defining quality metrics, and driving adoption of automation and quality best practices
- Applying quality engineering practices in Waterfall, Agile, or scaled Agile environments
- AWS, Azure, or GCP and testing strategies for microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures

- Pay Range: $109512.00/year to $203940.00/year.
- This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
- The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
- This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
