Primary Responsibilities Oversee the analytic work of the Rx Formulary and New Solutions Finance area which consists of 4 teams: Rebate Optimization Team Formulary Modelling Team Trend Team Rebate FP&A Medical Specialty Drug Management Team New Solution Analytics Initiate and participate in cross-functional strategies to drive innovation in products offered that improve affordability of our pharmacy benefit with a particular focus on the specialty benefit.
Support efforts by providing insight into the economic value of design options. Lead the Pharmacy Economics effort to support formulary analysis driving Cigna Pharmacy selection of the “right drug choices” for our various formularies and utilization management strategies.
Help deliver best-in-class specialty drug management through the Medical benefit to help drive steerage to optimal sites of care and monetize utilization management programs Lead the team executing the monthly Ascent rebate rate changes and quarterly rebate guarantee optimization changes.
Lead the Rebate FP&A process, shared rebate distribution process, and monthly actual analysis. Lead the analytics team that creates monthly and quarterly trend analytics, understands and communicates trend drivers, and supports trend functions within wider organization and FP&A projection process.
Provide financial oversight and leadership for Cigna Healthplan Pharmacy in regards to emerging legislation and compliance issues. Drive the conversation and analytic effort around medical/pharmacy integration savings. Find and quantify savings levers.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field strongly preferred; Advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in healthcare finance, pricing, actuarial, or related disciplines. Prior experience in Cigna Pharmacy and Cigna Healthcare strongly preferred Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
Experience operating in highly regulated environments with strong audit readiness expectations. Proven ability to influence and partner with senior executives and cross‑functional leaders. Strong executive communication and financial storytelling skills.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 180,900 - 301,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
