Key job responsibilities - Own the completion of safety analyses for one or more Prime Air systems - Help define the future of safety assessment processes and methodologies for drone aerial systems. - Partner with talented cross functional teams to integrate design safety directly into the system development process. Export License Control This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
- 3+ years of professional software and systems development experience - Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication - 3+ years experience in system safety engineering in the aerospace, automotive
- robotics industries - Experience in analysis of safety critical systems - Experience working with requirements management and safety analysis tools (CAFTA, Medini
- similar) - Demonstrated statistical analysis and reliability engineering fundamentals - Proficient working with cross functional teams to drive analysis of complex systems - Knowledgeable in systems engineering fundamentals, including system decomposition, requirements verification & validation
- Experience with ARP-4761/4754, ISO26262, MIL-STD-882B
- similar system safety processes. - Experience developing FHAs, Fault Trees, Reliability Predictions, FMEAs, SSAs, CCAs. - Experience performing safety analyses in one or more of the following: Image based perception systems, aerospace systems, vehicle management, flight controls, cloud-based software intensive systems, aircraft traffic management.
