This Technical Manager role sits within the LSEG Wealth, Investment Management, and Investment Banking Technology group. The team builds and enhances enterprise‑grade platforms that power key products across Wealth Management, Portfolio Management, and Investment Banking workflows.

The role requires a hands‑on technical leader with strong expertise across modern UI frameworks (React / Angular / Python), API engineering using .NET / JAVA and Postgress database . The successful candidate will be responsible for driving end‑to‑end solution design , leading engineering teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery, and applying strong analytical thinking to solve complex technical and business problems.

Knowledge of AI development building MCP, Agents, Skills etc. is mandatory Responsibilities & Activities Lead and manage the engineering team , providing direction, prioritization, and support to ensure successful delivery of product and platform initiatives.

Own end-to-end delivery of multiple workstreams, ensuring timelines, scope, quality, and engineering standards are consistently met. Drive solution design and technical decision-making , ensuring architectures are scalable, secure, and aligned with LSEG’s enterprise guidelines.

Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and architects to translate business requirements into actionable engineering plans and delivery roadmaps. Guide UI and API engineering efforts , setting standards for React/Angular frontend development and .NET backend/API implementation.

Provide technical oversight across the team , reviewing designs, architecture proposals, and key code changes to ensure alignment with best practices. Mentor, coach, and develop engineers , enabling skill growth, improving design thinking, and strengthening solution ownership across the team.

Manage engineering capacity and resource planning , ensuring appropriate workload distribution and timely risk escalation. Foster a culture of engineering excellence , advocating for code quality, performance Identify delivery risks early , drive mitigation strategies, and ensure teams are unblocked technically and operationally.

Partner with DevOps and platform teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, environment stability, and release governance. Lead cross-team coordination with backend, data, UX, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end solution delivery.

Analyze system performance and implement improvements , using metrics and data-driven insights to optimize user experience and system scalability. Represent the engineering team in governance meetings , status reviews, planning discussions, and architecture forums.

Strong leadership experience guiding teams on complex engineering initiatives. Expert-level proficiency in frontend technologies , including: React.js Angular JavaScript / TypeScript HTML / CSS Strong backend/API expertise in Microsoft .NET , including: C# ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core RESTful API development Proven experience in designing and delivering solutions in distributed and microservices‑based architectures .

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capability with the ability to design scalable, customer‑focused solutions. Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server preferred). Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Docker.
