Key job responsibilities - Follow work instructions and safety procedures - Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds - Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers - Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation - Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions - Run functional and environmental testing on units - Use computer software programs for conducting tests - Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities - Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment Additional Requirements: Must be able to work Sun-Wed from 6am-4:30pm Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines. The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life The MFG Technician II will identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment
- relevant trade school certification - 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches) - 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system - Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
- Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license - CFOT certification or equivalent experience - Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience - ASE certification or equivalent experience - Experience in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware - Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements - Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration - Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
