Key job responsibilities - Investigate risk and analyze large datasets to identify anomalies and trends that can be used to identify abuse at scale. - Deliver results in highly ambiguous and fast-moving environment - Use high-level judgment to own complex investigations and enforcement decisions driven through data. - Write deep dive documents summarizing investigations and proposing solutions - Foster collaboration across different departments to deliver comprehensive solutions - Support teams in responding to, investigating and managing escalations around different types of abuse. - financials. We use systems thinking to map how user networks interact across services, revealing vulnerabilities that bad actors exploit. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 3+ years of experience in e-commerce. fraud investigations, abuse detection, trust & safety, financial crimes
- fintech - Demonstrated experience conducting complex investigations using multiple data sources - Demonstrated ability to leverage data to propose solutions - Experience identifying patterns, synthesizing signals
- distinguishing legitimate activity from bad actor behavior - Ability to work with incomplete information and make sound judgments under ambiguity - Strong data analysis skills using common analysis and manipulation tools
- 5+ years of experience in investigative roles (fraud, abuse, risk intelligence, law enforcement analysis
- similar) - Experience translating investigative findings into actionable detection signals or policy recommendations - Background in hypothesis-driven inquiry and root cause analysis - Familiarity with e-commerce, payments
- marketplace fraud/abuse vectors - Experience sourcing and analyzing data, including running
