- We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a greenfield platform team building ambient intelligence for Alexa. You will design and implement distributed systems that process real-time context streams, orchestrate large language model inference
- deliver proactive experiences to millions of customers. You'll work across the full stack — from low-latency event-driven architectures to cloud-scale ML serving infrastructure — and have direct impact on how Alexa anticipates and acts on customer needs. Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build
- operate innovative products and services that delight our customers
- participating in technical discussions to drive solutions forward.
- Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices in a large distributed computing environment.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective.
- Leverage and contribute to the development of GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity while staying current with emerging technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
- Work in an agile environment practicing CI/CD principles while participating in operational responsibilities including on-call duties.
- Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
