About The Team
- Paytm is building a full stack AI platform focused on Inference and Agents, enabling large enterprises to deploy AI driven automation across sales, service, operations
- analytics. The Inference and Agentic AI team operates as a cross functional unit spanning engineering, product, data science, business management
- owns the full lifecycle of AI solutions from opportunity discovery to deployment and scale. Role Overview Paytm is looking to hire high caliber growth leaders in the Business Management vertical to drive adoption and scale of Paytm AI agents across the mid market merchant ecosystem. This role owns the full SMB merchant growth charter across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention
- reactivation. The role sits at the core of Paytm’s AI charter and involves building two scalable growth engines, DIY digital journeys through Paytm for Business and CRM channels
- assisted adoption through Paytm’s field sales network. The candidate will work closely with product, analytics, sales
- business teams to improve merchant journeys, increase adoption
- drive repeat usage of Paytm AI products. The role requires strong growth thinking, execution discipline
- the ability to convert data, campaigns
- field feedback into scalable adoption playbooks. Key Responsibilities Growth Strategy and Business Ownership - Own end to end growth strategy for Paytm AI Agentic products across mid market merchants. - Drive acquisition, activation, engagement, retention
- reactivation across the full merchant lifecycle. - Translate business goals into actionable growth plans, channel strategies
- prioritized initiatives. - Define and track key success metrics across impressions, CTR, leads, activations, conversion, repeat usage, retention
- reactivation. - Build scalable growth playbooks that can be replicated across merchant segments, geographies
- categories. DIY Digital Growth Own digital adoption through Paytm for Business app placements, CRM, WhatsApp, push notifications, SMS, email, RCS
- other digital channels. Design and execute merchant lifecycle journeys using segmentation, behavioral triggers, nudges, offers
- contextual messaging. Drive funnel optimization across awareness, click through, lead capture, onboarding, first use
- repeat usage. Partner with product and tech teams to improve in app discovery, onboarding flows, conversion journeys
- self-serve adoption. Run structured retargeting and reactivation programs to reduce drop offs and improve adoption. Assisted Growth and Field Enablement Work closely with field sales teams including FSEs, TLs, ASMs
- sales operations teams to drive assisted acquisition and activation. Design field adoption playbooks, pitch scripts, training modules, objection handling guides
- merchant education material. Create incentive structures, contests
- performance routines to improve field team participation and conversion. Monitor daily field led performance across leads, activations, conversions
- quality of adoption. Capture field feedback and merchant objections to improve product journeys, pricing, positioning
- campaign messaging. Experimentation, Segmentation
- Personalization Drive data led experimentation across creatives, channels, offers, pricing, merchant journeys
- field interventions. Build merchant segmentation strategies based on business size, category, geography, transaction behavior, lifecycle stage
- adoption propensity. Use cohort analysis, funnel analysis
- behavioral insights to identify growth opportunities and drop off points. Work with analytics and data science teams to support personalization, propensity models
- recommendation led growth. Translate insights into targeted experiments, product improvements
- lifecycle interventions. Performance Management and Governance Build dashboards and review cadences to track growth performance across DIY and assisted channels. Own weekly and monthly performance reviews with business, product, analytics
- sales stakeholders. Identify root causes behind underperformance and drive corrective actions with clear owners and timelines. Ensure campaigns, journeys
- field programs follow brand, compliance
- operational guidelines. Lead and mentor growth, campaign
- program teams to ensure strong execution and performance delivery. Ideal Candidate Profile 4 to 6 years of experience in growth, lifecycle marketing, performance marketing, category growth, field sales marketing
- GTM roles in fintech, SaaS, consumer internet
- B2B platforms. Strong experience owning growth metrics across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention
- reactivation. Hands-on experience with CRM, marketing automation
- digital journey tools such as CleverTap, MoEngage, WebEngage
- similar platforms. Strong understanding of digital funnels, assisted sales motions
- merchant or SMB journeys. Experience working with or influencing field sales teams is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with comfort in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, A/B testing
- campaign measurement. Ability to manage cross functional stakeholders across product, analytics, sales, business
- operations. High ownership, strong execution discipline
- comfort operating in a fast building environment. Interest in AI agents, automation
- digital journeys. Skills and Qualifications Strong growth and lifecycle management skills across digital and assisted channels. Ability to build structured growth plans, campaign calendars, channel strategies
- adoption playbooks. Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of funnels, cohorts, retention, conversion
- campaign attribution. Strong understanding of CRM channels including WhatsApp, push notifications, SMS, email
- in app placements. Ability to work with field sales teams and convert product value propositions into simple merchant facing pitches. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Google Sheets, dashboards, CRM tools
