Netsuite Business System Analyst
Top focus
Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology organization.
This role blends a traditional Business Analyst position with light Scrum Master responsibilities. You will work closely with finance, accounting, and supply chain stakeholders to make sure NetSuite initiatives are clearly defined and delivered without disruption.
This is a fast-paced environment where multiple initiatives run in parallel. We move quickly from stakeholder conversations to development-ready scope. You should be comfortable juggling several projects and competing deadlines without dropping quality.
You will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, translating needs into clear, buildable requirements. You will also serve as a trusted advisor on effective, scalable use of NetSuite, operating as an in-house functional consultant for the platform.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and experienced with NetSuite and its integrations across the finance, accounting, and supply chain landscape. Responsibilities Requirements and Documentation: Partner with finance, accounting, and supply chain stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
Write requirements that account for core NetSuite processes (GL and financials, AP/AR, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue recognition, inventory, multi-subsidiary) and configuration concepts (roles and permissions, custom records and fields, SuiteFlow, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics).
Deliver development-ready scope quickly. Trusted Advisor: Serve as the in-house functional expert for NetSuite. Guide the business toward best-practice configurations and push back on requests that would create long-term complexity or technical debt.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Own several NetSuite initiatives at once. Track action items, deadlines, and dependencies across all of them. Triage competing demands by impact and keep every workstream moving. Provide regular status updates so leadership can track progress, weigh tradeoffs, and remove blockers.
Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a delivery partner to product owners and delivery teams. Make sure scope, dependencies, and integration touchpoints are understood and managed throughout the project lifecycle. Lead initiatives that cross team boundaries and convene the right people early to align on scope.
Agile Support: Facilitate or assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as needed to keep sprints on track. Data, Integrations, and Releases: Support data integrity work such as CSV imports and mass updates.
Coordinate integration touchpoints via SuiteTalk/REST and connected systems like MuleSoft, banking, expense, payroll, and CRM platforms. Support planning around NetSuite's twice-yearly releases, including impact assessment and regression testing.
Risk, Process, and Traceability: Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers early, especially across roles and permissions, segregation of duties, the financial close, reporting, and integrations. Recommend practical process improvements.
Maintain high-quality documentation and traceability from business need through release. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in enterprise environments.
Experience supporting projects involving NetSuite or a comparable cloud ERP. Understanding of core ERP and accounting processes, including GL, AP/AR, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue recognition, inventory, and multi-entity structures.
Familiarity with NetSuite configuration concepts (roles and permissions, SuiteFlow, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics) and common integration patterns (SuiteTalk/REST, middleware such as MuleSoft). Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to write clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria quickly. Strong experience on Agile or Scrum projects and familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence. Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications Oracle NetSuite certification such as SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Certified Administrator, or NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant. Experience supporting finance and accounting teams on NetSuite, including month-end close, AP/AR, and revenue processes.
