With a broad range of complementary capabilities in Communications, Stakeholder Management, Reputational Risk, and Intelligence & Operations, this team helps Target manage the needs and expectations of our team, guests, media, communities, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
This role supports the Corporate Affairs (CA) Intelligence team by delivering timely, relevant insights that help inform decisions, activate on opportunity, identify risk, and strengthen Target’s reputation. The Analyst contributes to a team responsible for analyzing and sharing integrated insights across risk, reputation, stakeholders, issues, and emerging trends, while supporting the development of forward-looking indicators that highlight potential risks and opportunities.
The Sr Business Partner is responsible for maintaining and updating the central CA information hub (TGT Live), ensuring information is accurate, current, and accessible as a trusted source for teams and leadership. The role conducts always-on monitoring across social, media, and other intelligence sources to identify trends, shifts in sentiment, and emerging issues, and supports deeper analysis through targeted deep dives and landscape assessments.
The role develops and share analysis and insights with CA pyramid. In addition, this role supports function-specific intelligence needs, including risk monitoring and communications/media tracking, ensuring relevant insights are delivered to the right teams at the right time.
The Analyst works closely with partners across Corporate Affairs and the enterprise to help connect inputs from multiple sources and contribute to broader data and insights routines. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to translate data into clear, concise insights that support action.

About You: 10 to 15 plus years of experience leading process and/or systems initiatives Excellent written, oral and facilitation communication skills Experience conducting research and distilling complex subjects into easy to digest insights and recommendations Highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple issues and tasks at the same time; strong sense of urgency Experience participating on cross-functional teams and efforts in high-pressure situations and collaborating across departments Bias for action and strong ability to execute with minimal oversight: coordinate, prioritize, establish goals, ensure timelines are being met and use resources Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills with strong leadership skills Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs.
A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
