Senior Analyst, Application Development and Maintenance
What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.
This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities Act as a supporting technical contributor for the PMO Tools Team, actively managing and pulling assigned tasks from a shared backlog Assist in Enterprise SaaS configuration and administration (specifically Planview) under the guidance of senior team members Support the building, configuration, and testing of multi-system integrations and foundational business automations Assist in maintaining data pipelines, reporting solutions, and backend database structures to support PMO applications Contribute to broader, high-impact enterprise initiatives by partnering with senior engineers to implement and execute technical solutions based on defined business requirements Champion a collaborative, agile mindset; while not expected to know everything on day one, must exhibit a strong desire to troubleshoot, learn, and grow alongside the team Qualifications 2-4 years of experience, preferred in enterprise application development, system integration, or SaaS configuration, preferred Bachelor's degree preferred; however, entry-level candidates (under 2 years of professional experience) must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) with applicable academic or internship experience Foundational knowledge or academic exposure to configuring solutions within SaaS platforms or the Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Automate), preferred Basic database querying skills, including an understanding of how to write and troubleshoot SQL queries, preferred Familiarity with data movement concepts (ETL, SSIS) and basic reporting (SSRS) is a plus An understanding of or interest in PMO methodologies and project portfolio management, preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve Applies judgment within defined parameters Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy Collaborates effectively within a team environment, eager to learn and expand technical skillsets Anticipated salary range: $80,500.00 - $103,410.00 Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
