Job Description We are looking for a Java AWS Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and cloud‑native applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS, with a solid understanding of modern application architecture and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based backend applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture Build and expose RESTful APIs with proper validation, security, and error handling Develop and deploy applications on AWS cloud (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, ECS/EKS) Implement scalable, resilient, and high‑performance services Integrate applications with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito and ensure good test coverage Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis Work closely with cross‑functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and performance best practices.

Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Java 21 Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA Solid understanding of Microservices architecture Experience building REST APIs Practical experience with AWS services such as: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS API Gateway, ECS/EKS Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and performance tuning Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Good communication and stakeholder interaction Ability to work independently and in a team Ownership mindset and attention to detail Posting Dates: July 20, 2026 - July 22, 2026 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
