- We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Identity team. In this role, you will design, build

- Design and implement core identity infrastructure components including control plane APIs, data plane execution environments, and deployment orchestration systems
- Design and implement scalable, highly available services that process millions of requests per second
- Develop monitoring, observability, and operational tooling to ensure production reliability and enable rapid incident response
- Contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions for session management, identity/permissions, cross-account access, and security integrations
- Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
