Job Title Senior Marketing Operations Manager Position Summary The Senior Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across the Financial Institutions marketing organization.
This role leads marketing technology, campaign operations, automation, analytics, lead management, process optimization, and performance reporting to enable scalable, data-driven marketing programs that support pipeline growth, client acquisition, client retention, and product adoption.
The incumbent serves as the operational backbone of the marketing organization, partnering closely with Product Marketing, Segment Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, Digital Marketing, Analytics, and Technology teams to ensure efficient execution, data integrity, campaign effectiveness, and measurable marketing performance.
The role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership to maximize marketing ROI and drive continuous improvement
What You Will Do
- Marketing Operations Strategy & Governance Develop and execute the marketing operations strategy aligned with Financial Institution business objectives.
- Establish operational frameworks, governance models, and best practices for campaign execution and measurement.
- Drive operational excellence across marketing planning, execution, reporting, and optimization.
- Standardize marketing processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
- Marketing Technology & Automation Serve as business lead for the marketing technology ecosystem, including marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and campaign management platforms.
- Optimize platform utilization and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Partner with technology teams to manage integrations, enhancements, and platform roadmaps.
- Ensure data quality, compliance, privacy, and governance standards are maintained across systems.
- Campaign Operations Lead end-to-end campaign operations supporting product launches, demand generation initiatives, lifecycle marketing, event marketing, and client engagement programs.
- Oversee campaign setup, audience segmentation, lead routing, testing, deployment, and quality assurance processes.
- Implement operational controls to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant campaign execution.
- Support account-based marketing and multi-channel marketing initiatives.
- Analytics & Performance Management Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting for marketing performance.
- Establish KPI frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness, marketing contribution, pipeline influence, and client engagement.
- Analyze campaign and channel performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.
- Deliver insights that support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Lead Management & Revenue Alignment Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to optimize lead management processes.
- Develop and maintain lead scoring, qualification, routing, and attribution methodologies.
- Monitor lead funnel performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
- Ensure alignment between marketing-generated activity and sales outcomes.
- Process Improvement Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing process optimization methodologies.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement automation or workflow enhancements.
- Establish service-level agreements and operational metrics across marketing functions.
- Drive organizational readiness for new tools, technologies, and capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management Partner with executive leadership to communicate performance, opportunities, and operational priorities.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Digital, Analytics, and Client Experience teams to align strategies and execution.
- Influence cross-functional teams to drive adoption of operational standards and best practices.
- What you will need to have: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications
- related field. 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, demand generation operations, revenue operations
- related disciplines. 3+ years of leadership, project leadership
- team management experience.
- Experience supporting Financial Institutions, fintech, payments, banking, or highly regulated industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, campaign management, and analytics platforms.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives and operational transformations.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- What would be great to have: MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of account-based marketing, lifecycle marketing, customer journey orchestration, and digital campaign operations.
- Experience with data governance, privacy regulations, and marketing compliance requirements.
