Title: Design Manger Are you a proven Design Manager with a strong track record delivering major rail and transport infrastructure projects? We're seeking an experienced leader to drive the successful delivery of complex rail projects across Western Australia and nationally.

Based in our KBR Perth office and working within a high-performing infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in leading multidisciplinary design and project teams through the full project lifecycle, from concept development and design through to construction and commissioning.

The Opportunity: Reporting to the National Rail Lead, you will be responsible for the safe, commercial and technical delivery of major rail infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of Australia's most significant transport and infrastructure projects while contributing to the continued growth of a nationally recognised rail capability. Key Responsibilities Include: Lead the delivery of major rail and infrastructure projects from planning through to project close-out.

Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and overall performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, project partners and key stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for project delivery matters.

Oversee contract administration, commercial performance, variations and change management. Monitor project controls, governance frameworks, risk management and reporting. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.

Support business development activities and identify opportunities for future project work. What You’ll Bring: You are a collaborative and commercially minded infrastructure professional who thrives in complex project environments. You bring strong leadership capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver successful project outcomes.

You'll ideally have: A degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline. Extensive experience delivering major rail, transport or infrastructure projects. Proven experience delivering large-scale projects over the past 15+ years, particularly within D&C or Alliance environments.

Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial management, claims and variations. Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and project controls. Exceptional client relationship and stakeholder management skills. Professional certifications such as CPEng, RPEQ, PMP or AIPM CPPM will be highly regarded.
