The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for owning the performance of assigned manufacturing lines by driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost
  • productivity. This position works cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Controls

  • drive continuous improvement initiatives based on business impact. Demonstrate ownership by driving issues from identification through implementation and verification of effectiveness. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives within assigned production areas. Develop and maintain APQP documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams
  • related quality documentation. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Setup Instructions
  • process specifications. Lead and/or support the specification, design, validation, implementation
  • launch of new manufacturing processes and equipment. Lead and/or participate in Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and process improvement activities. Support troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment by partnering with Production, Maintenance, Controls, Quality
  • Technical Functions. Develop engineering standards, best practices
  • procedures that improve process capability, consistency
  • equipment reliability. Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, customer requirements
  • Bosch standards. Conduct regular Layered Process Audits (LPA), Workstation Audits, 5S Audits, Operator Audits
  • Process Audits. Communicate project status, technical issues, action plans, risks
  • support needs to leadership and cross-functional teams. Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor to support operators, verify process performance

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering
  • a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment or equivalent relevant industry experience. Experience with automated manufacturing equipment, machining, assembly
  • heat treating processes preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex manufacturing problems using data. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, RedX, PDCA
  • other structured problem-solving methodologies. Working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC
  • IATF 16949 requirements. Excellent communication, presentation
  • interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple initiatives
  • drive projects to completion. Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability
