Your Impact The Sr. Director, Distribution Transformation serves as the senior business leader responsible for deploying Manhattan Associates WMS across the distribution network. Reporting to the SVP, Distribution Operations, this role partners with Operations, Technology, Manhattan Associates, implementation partners, and field leadership to ensure successful design, deployment, adoption, and stabilization.
This business-led transformation role is focused on operational readiness, process design, change management, and value realization. Success in this role will require translating Manhattan WMS capabilities into effective operational processes, building readiness across distribution sites, and leading adoption efforts that drive productivity, service, and inventory performance improvements.
What You Will Do Serve as the business lead for enterprise Manhattan WMS implementation across distribution centers. Represent Distribution Operations throughout solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and stabilization.
Partner with Technology, Manhattan Associates, systems integrators, and operations leaders to align business requirements and implementation priorities. Lead operational readiness reviews, risk assessments, issue escalation, governance processes, and go/no-go recommendations.
Ensure site readiness across staffing, training, process execution, data quality, communications, and support models. Translate implementation plans into actionable operating roadmaps for distribution facilities. Partner with Distribution leadership to minimize disruption to service, productivity, inventory accuracy, and safety during deployment.
Drive field adoption through structured change management, leadership engagement, training readiness, and post-go-live support. Identify and implement process improvements enabled by Manhattan WMS capabilities. Serve as the primary operations liaison between Distribution Operations and Technology.
Partner with HR, Learning & Development, Finance, Transportation, Planning, Replenishment, and Store Operations to ensure enterprise alignment. Facilitate business impact assessments, prioritization decisions, and resolution of operational issues.
Monitor post-go-live performance and lead rapid-response efforts to address operational disruptions. Track key metrics including productivity, service levels, inventory accuracy, adoption, training completion, safety, and defect resolution.
Develop deployment playbooks, readiness frameworks, lessons learned, and continuous improvement processes. Partner with Technology and vendors to drive optimization, enhancement prioritization, and value realization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain operations, distribution, warehouse technology, or large-scale supply chain transformation. 8+ years of experience leading Manhattan WMS implementations, including business leadership across design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, hyper care, and stabilization. 8+ years of proven experience serving as the senior business or operations leader for multi-site WMS deployments in complex distribution environments. 7+ years of leadership experience within large-scale retail, omnichannel, hardlines, industrial distribution, or high-volume 3PL operations.
Expert-level Manhattan WMS knowledge with the ability to challenge design decisions, readiness assumptions, and operational impacts. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, labor management, and operational reporting.
Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives requiring significant change management, training, and operational adoption. Experience influencing executive leadership, field operations, technology teams, vendors, and external implementation partners.
Ability to travel regularly to distribution centers and project locations as required. Preferred Skills/Education Master’s degree Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field Prior accountability for DC/RDC operations as a General Manager, Director, Regional Leader, or equivalent operational leadership role.
