Role Description The Mechanical Engineering team at Form is focused on designing the battery cell, module, and full pack system that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We strive to deliver designs that are optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at Form Factory.
We are seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to serve as a cornerstone of our mechanical design integration efforts. In this high-impact role, you will orchestrate the end-to-end execution of complex mechanical programs, bridging the gap between product architecture, detailed design, and high-volume manufacturing.
You will be responsible for defining program strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating technical roadblocks, and fostering cross-functional alignment between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. As a technical leader, you will champion the successful integration of first-of-a-kind systems, ensuring we meet our aggressive timelines while maintaining the highest standards of system reliability and design-for-cost optimization.

What You'll Do
- Lead cross-functional mechanical design projects from concept through high-volume manufacturing, ensuring alignment with product architecture and performance requirements.
- Drive project schedules, identifying critical path risks and implementing mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure design for cost and manufacturability (DFM) objectives are met.
- Lead the coordination of first-of-a-kind build activities and system integration efforts, serving as the central point of contact for mechanical system implementation.
- Manage prototyping efforts and support engineering teams in building and verifying analytical models to validate system designs.
- What you'll bring: 10+ years of experience in technical program management, with a strong background in mechanical engineering or complex system development.
- Proven track record of managing high-complexity engineering projects, particularly in hardware development or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience navigating ambiguity and leading cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions on aggressive timelines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering data and guide decision-making on design trade-offs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering
