Who are we looking for State Street Investment Management’s Data, Analytics & AI Services (DAAIS) team is seeking an experienced Vice President – Technology Lead to lead the architecture, engineering execution, modernization strategy, and technology roadmap supporting the Chief Business Office (CBO) organization.

This role owns a portfolio of strategic business solutions supporting Markets Intelligence, Sales Enablement & Distribution Analytics, CRM integration, and Data Management capabilities. The successful candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in large-scale data platform architecture, distributed computing, data pipeline engineering, and modern cloud architecture.

What you will be responsible for As Market Intelligence & Sales Enablement Engineer, Vice President you will - Define and execute the technology strategy, target-state architecture, and modernization roadmap for the Markets Intelligence, Sales Enablement data, and analytics portfolio.

Serve as the senior technology partner to business leadership, translating strategic priorities into scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions. Own the end-to-end solution architecture, driving the transition from legacy AWS Redshift platforms to a unified cloud-native lakehouse aligned with the enterprise data strategy.

Establish enterprise integration and data-sharing patterns leveraging Apache Iceberg, catalog federation, data products, and zero-copy architectures to enable trusted and reusable data access. Lead engineering delivery across strategic initiatives, ensuring platform scalability, operational resilience, production stability, and predictable execution.

Drive the evolution of Master Data Management capabilities and integration patterns, establishing a strategic data foundation for Client, Product, Prospect, and Reference Data while enabling governed data products, analytics, and business applications.

Lead the design and operation of batch, event-driven, and streaming data platforms, including metadata, catalog, and consumption layers that support analytics, AI, and business applications. Partner with Product, Analytics, AI/ML teams, and domain SMEs to establish data semantics, data product contracts, governance, stewardship, and compliance standards.

Drive trusted data consumption through curated semantic models, governed consumption patterns, and standardized business definitions across reporting, analytics, and operational platforms. Build and lead high-performing engineering teams while providing technical leadership, talent development, stakeholder communication, and executive visibility into delivery progress, risks, and investment priorities.

Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in software engineering, data platforms, and analytics, including technical leadership for large-scale enterprise data and cloud modernization initiatives; BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proven technology leadership experience with demonstrated success building high-performing global engineering teams and influencing business, product, architecture, security, and executive stakeholders. Deep expertise in modern Data Platform Architecture, Lakehouse, Data Products, and cloud-native analytics ecosystems.

Hands-on experience with AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, and large-scale distributed data processing, including performance optimization, scalability, resiliency, and cost management. Strong understanding of open data standards and Lakehouse technologies, including Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, metadata management, and data catalog ecosystems.

Experience designing and modernizing enterprise data warehouses and analytics platforms, driving migration from legacy architectures to cloud-native data products and unified Lakehouse platforms. Expertise in zero-copy data sharing, data virtualization, catalog federation, and governed data access patterns, enabling scalable and trusted data consumption across platforms.

Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade data governance frameworks, including data quality, lineage, metadata management, security, entitlement controls, master/reference data management, and regulatory compliance. Experience defining and governing data products, including schemas, SLAs, semantic models, documentation, access controls, and consumption patterns supporting reporting, analytics, AI, and machine learning workloads.

Strong operational and engineering excellence mindset, with experience establishing SDLC standards, CI/CD, observability, reliability engineering, incident management, and continuous improvement practices for mission-critical platforms. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a data platform engineer within a financial institution.

Experience working with both structured and unstructured/alternative data sources and associated processing patterns. Expertise in AI-assisted coding using GitHub Copilot or Claude Code Assistant.
