Manufacturing Technician Process/Procedure 3 Broadcom Lehigh Valley Process Technician, Cleanroom In this full-time position with competitive pay and excellent benefits (including matching 401K), you will interact with colleagues from both operations and engineering while performing activities critical to Broadcom’s success as a premier manufacturer in the high-technology semiconductor industry.

Company History: Broadcom is a multinational technology business that develops, manufactures, and sells semiconductors and infrastructure software. AT&T first opened the Breinigsville facility in the late 1980s and this facility served as Bell Labs’ world headquarters for optoelectronics.

Through a series of acquisitions, the Breinigsville facility is now an integral part of Broadcom’s Optical Systems Division, manufacturing InP lasers and detectors that support telecommunications customers throughout the world. Position Summary: This process technician position involves applying acquired technical procedures to support semiconductor manufacturing in photolithography, grating CD and AI-inspection processes in a cleanroom environment.

The technician is responsible for routine production manufacturing, operation of equipment and ownership of advanced processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Uses senior technical support to perform production and R&D runs  Responsible for ownership of processes and/or equipment  Communicate with other operations staff to maximize overall fab output and equipment utilization.

Ensure line issues are proactively identified and escalated to achieve timely resolution  Effectively interacts and communicates with operators, engineering and maintenance on a daily basis in the resolution of related issues including initiating and leading corrective actions  Disposition hold lots to decrease cycle time  Perform specialized advanced tasks under engineering supervision for NPI (New Product Intro)  Response/recovery for down-state toolsets  Tool/process qualification  Defect and SPC response/containment  Training of operations staff for processes and equipment via complex recovery methods  Response for non-conforming material The Ideal Candidate:  Exhibit significant performance in/contribution to process improvements, quality, safety, and/or fab initiatives  Show a potential of being able to design, execute, test and interpret experiments with a degree of independence  Consistently demonstrated resilience in challenging situations and high professional standards of communication, collaboration and positive attitudes while interacting with all levels of the organization  Self-directed multi-tasker that is able to work with limited supervision  Has program setup experience in semiconductor manufacturing with applicable skills for AOI, CD and photolithography Qualification and Experience:  Minimum 2 years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing experience in a cleanroom environment  Minimum AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, equivalent formal military training or verifiable years of experience in related semiconductor operations position performing relevant process technician level tasks.  Proficiency in Microsoft, Oracle, and Google-based computer applications.

Working Conditions: Duties are performed in a cleanroom environment which requires personnel to wear special garments. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
