Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Responsible for identifying and prioritizing maintenance requirements and coordinating the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies to meet maintenance schedules.

Assists the Supervisors in achieving daily maintenance schedules and quality goals. It provides guidance and it is a source of information for technicians and support groups in the area, driven priorities in the manufacturing areas. Coordinate documentation and trainings of the operators.

Provide maintenance services as required and as needed. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the daily work direction for the maintenance technician personnel.
  • Assists the Supervisor in the support and development of action plans to achieve departmental goals.
  • Responsible for having updated training information.
  • Makes sure that the maintenance technicians staff follows the proper procedures and established rules.
  • Understands all operational and equipment support systems, including tracking systems and documentation.
  • Coordinates the training of new maintenance technicians personnel.
  • Acts as "liaison" for manufacturing and support groups, such as operations, quality, production control and management.
  • Motivates and provides effective leadership skills to maintain the highest quality level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Safely and effectively utilizes the necessary equipment and tools, while maintaining proper housekeeping standards for clean and conducive environment.
  • Maintains a safe environment anticipating and solving emerging situations.
  • Maintains flexibility to juggle priorities depending on volume and time frame requirements daily.
  • Makes an effective "pass down" at the beginning and end of each shift between technicians and supervisors of the respective shifts.
  • Facilitates communication to technicians and creates a Credo-based environment.
  • Ensures correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).
  • Performs "Troubleshooting" and completes repairs to keep manufacturing equipment running efficiently, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic components, as needed.
  • Participates actively in special projects or assignments, such as: the development of validations, transfer of new products, improvements to manufacturing equipment, "layouts" and testing of new equipment or technologies, as needed.
  • Assists in qualifications and equipment movements, using and completing IQ/OQ documentation and ensuring that each team complies with the required documentation and specifications, as established by the engineering group and procedures, as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Technology is required.
  • Experience working at medical device industry preferred.
  • Knowledge in computerized systems.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
  • Basic knowledge of the SAP / Maximo system is desired.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations is required.
  • Must be computer literate in E-Mail, word processing and spread sheets is required.
  • Must be detailed oriented and can develop and meet deadlines, and be able to delegate and follow-up.
