About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Information Security Engineering Senior Manager In this role, you will: Manage a team, through less experienced managers, of Information Security Engineers that design, document, test, maintain and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication or directory services, email, internet, applications, or endpoint security Engage more experienced information security and line of business management to identify, formulate and implement information security solutions and controls Lead a large, complex information security unit or a number of smaller specialized work units with direct impact to companywide information security objectives having high risk and complexity Manage security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information security policy and standards Set guidelines for compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives Oversee resource allocations to ensure commitments align with strategic objectives Manage implementation of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management and business continuity Maintain a broad awareness of the state of information security across the enterprise and industry Influence change to information security policy, standards and procedures for systems, applications or tools Lead large, companywide projects and initiatives Represent the organization to regulators, industry groups and governmental agencies Interface with Information Security Industry Leaders, Financial industry Leaders, Analysts and Regulators Advise more experienced leadership or executive management on issues with high, critical impact on the company Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Information Security Architecture Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 3+ years of management or leadership experience Desired Qualifications: Deep knowledge of Cyber Threat Intelligence tradecraft, including collection planning, source evaluation, analytic rigor, confidence assessments, and intelligence production.

Strong understanding of external attack surface management, including asset discovery, exposure validation, cloud and internet-facing risk, credential leakage, third-party exposure, and remediation prioritization. Experience with deep and dark web monitoring, brand protection, data leakage identification, threat actor tracking, fraud-related intelligence, and escalation workflows for credible external threat findings.

Ability to use threat intelligence platforms, attack surface management tools, OSINT sources, SIEM/SOAR integrations, case management workflows, and metrics dashboards to improve intelligence relevance and operational effectiveness. Familiarity with financial services threat landscape, regulatory expectations, information-sharing communities, and collaboration models involving cyber operations, fraud, legal, privacy, risk, and business stakeholders.

Job Expectations: Cyber Threat Intelligence Strategy & Leadership Lead the Cyber Threat Management strategy for a financial services environment, aligning intelligence priorities to enterprise risk, regulatory expectations, business objectives, and the broader information security agenda.

Define and mature threat intelligence operating models, collection requirements, analytic standards, intelligence products, and performance measures. Serve as a trusted advisor to cyber, technology, risk, fraud, and business leaders by translating adversary activity, sector trends, and emerging risks into prioritized actions and executive-ready recommendations.

Attack Surface Discovery & External Exposure Management Oversee attack surface discovery capabilities to identify internet-facing assets, exposed services, misconfigurations, third-party exposure, leaked credentials, and other externally observable risks.

Partner with vulnerability management, cloud security, infrastructure, application, and third-party risk teams to validate exposures, prioritize remediation, and track risk reduction through measurable outcomes. Establish governance, reporting, and escalation mechanisms for material external exposure risks.

Deep & Dark Web Monitoring and Threat Detection Lead deep and dark web monitoring to identify credential exposure, brand impersonation, data leakage, fraud enablement, threat actor chatter, and targeting of financial services operations. Ensure monitoring outputs are validated, triaged, and integrated with incident response, fraud, legal, privacy, brand protection, and security operations workflows as appropriate.

Develop processes to assess credibility, impact, urgency, and required response actions for external threat findings while maintaining appropriate evidence handling and documentation standards. Strategic Threat Intelligence, Reporting & Outreach Produce and oversee strategic threat intelligence assessments on adversary trends, geopolitical developments, sector-specific threats, cybercrime activity, and emerging technologies that may affect financial services.

Deliver actionable intelligence briefings and written products tailored to technical, risk, executive, and business audiences. Drive outreach with internal stakeholders, peer financial institutions, industry groups, information-sharing communities, and law enforcement or regulatory partners where appropriate and in line with organizational policy.

Team Leadership, Capability Maturity & Operational Excellence Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Cyber Threat Management team with strong analytic tradecraft, technical depth, financial services awareness, and disciplined execution practices.

Continuously improve tools, processes, automation, metrics, and quality assurance mechanisms to increase intelligence relevance, reduce response time, and improve operational consistency. Posting End Date: 4 Aug 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
