  • As the Analytics Lead, Strategic Insights for Compliance Shared Services, you will own the compliance analytics and automated monitoring function for a multi-product, multi-partner consumer lending business. The work requires fluency in both regulation and data
  • it runs in both directions: you translate regulatory obligations into automated, evidence-producing data checks
  • you translate data anomalies back into clear regulatory answers.
  • You will report to the Senior Manager, Compliance Programs, and operate as the senior individual contributor for the analytics function. A supporting data analyst carries much of the recurring execution workload
  • you will provide that analyst with day-to-day technical direction, structured training, and quality review while you focus on monitoring design, examination data ownership, exception judgment, and automation.
  • The outputs of this role are consumed by state regulators, bank partners, internal and external auditors
  • senior leadership. The quality bar is evidence-grade and reproducible
  • the operating rhythm combines a steady weekly monitoring cadence with high-intensity examination and incident surges that arrive on external timelines.
  • What you'll do
  • Own the design, operation
  • governance of automated compliance monitoring: translate regulatory obligations into rule-based detective controls that run on defined frequencies, surface exceptions
  • produce audit-ready evidence.
  • Serve as the primary data owner for regulatory examinations, licensing audits
  • bank partner exam requests: scope requests into defined populations and extraction logic, validate results across source systems, document methodology and assumptions
  • support responses through multi-round follow-ups under external deadlines.
  • Triage monitoring exceptions and data anomalies, distinguishing true compliance exceptions from data artifacts and process gaps, route findings to the appropriate resolution path
  • support remediation through validation and evidence review.
  • Map automated checks to specific regulatory requirements, converting query logic into control statements that feed the compliance control inventory and close the loop between monitoring exceptions and tracked compliance issues.
  • Drive the automation roadmap: identify recurring manual reporting and repeat data requests and convert them into automated pipelines and self-service tools, applying AI-assisted development with disciplined human-in-the-loop validation.
  • Steward the compliance data environment: adjudicate source-of-truth questions, resolve data access and quality constraints, and maintain the query repository, runbooks, and methodology documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day technical direction, structured onboarding and training, work prioritization, and quality review for a supporting data analyst, coaching for independence and end-to-end ownership.
  • Partner with Engineering, Legal, Product, Internal Audit, and bank partners to resolve data definition and quality questions, and expand monitoring coverage across new products, requirements, and jurisdictions.
  • What we look for
  • 5+ years in compliance analytics, monitoring or surveillance, transaction testing, audit analytics, or a comparable data role in consumer lending, banking, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack such as Snowflake and Databricks, including building and operating automated pipelines, dashboards, and data quality checks.
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit regulations such as TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, FCRA, SCRA, MLA, TCPA
  • state lending, licensing
  • the ability to convert those obligations into data logic.
  • Bidirectional fluency: you read a regulation and know the data question it implies, and you read a data anomaly and know the regulatory question it raises.
  • Evidence-grade rigor: you reconcile, validate, reproduce
  • document your work so it stands up to examiners and auditors
  • you have delivered regulatory or audit data under hard deadlines with multi-round follow-ups.
  • AI fluency: you use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate query building, troubleshooting, and workflow automation, and you validate outputs before relying on them.
  • Experience training, guiding, or reviewing the work of junior analysts, with the judgment to coach for independence rather than absorb the work yourself.
  • A builder disposition: comfort with ambiguity, self-directed prioritization, and clear written and verbal communication that translates technical findings for legal, compliance, and executive audiences.
  • Nice to Have
  • Lightweight application development (Streamlit or similar) and Python.
  • GRC platform exposure (AuditBoard or similar) and control inventory or control documentation experience.
  • Familiarity with bank partnership or sponsor bank operating models.
