About the Team The Advice Innovation team supports Wealthsimple's mission of providing financial freedom by delivering exceptional advice at scale, supporting human advisors and cross-functional teams delivering advice to the masses.

Our top priorities are scaling advice through digital innovation and building a premier wealth management business. We're a small, diverse team asking a big question: how can we support every Canadian regardless of asset level with advice, the way they want it, in moments that matter.

About the Role As Advice Innovation Lead, you'll be the person who takes a problem and figures out what to do with it, structuring the approach, designing the experiment, getting the right people involved, and driving it through to a clear outcome.

You work independently, move fast, and know how to use data and technology to learn quickly and make the case for what comes next. This isn't a role that requires deep financial services experience. It requires sharp execution instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to build and test solutions using the tools available — including AI.

You'll work alongside a team that brings investment depth, strategic vision, and institutional knowledge, and your job is to make things happen. What You'll Do Drive initiatives from problem to outcome: Take ownership of initiatives end-to-end, from framing the problem and structuring a hypothesis, to designing experiments, interpreting results, and recommending next steps.

You move without waiting for perfect conditions. Build and experiment with modern tools: Use AI, automation, and emerging technology to design and test solutions quickly. You're comfortable building lightweight tools and systems to validate ideas before investing heavily in them.

Work with data to decide what moves forward: Structure and analyze data to evaluate what's working and what isn't. You let evidence drive prioritization and can communicate findings in a way that makes decisions easy for others. Get things done cross-functionally: Build relationships across product, marketing, technology, and operations to move work forward.

When you hit a wall, you build a case and get buy-in rather than stalling. Communicate clearly across levels: Distill complex, ambiguous work into crisp narratives for director-level and above audiences. Whether you're sharing early findings, proposing a next step, or flagging a blocker.

You make it easy for stakeholders to understand and act. Bring structure to ambiguity: Apply frameworks and structured thinking to problems that don't come pre-packaged. You make the work legible for your team and keep initiatives on track without needing close oversight.

What You Bring 5+ years experience in financial planning or wealth management space Preference will be given to those with CIM or CFA & CFP Financial planning expertise is preferred A track record of driving initiatives end-to-end with strong execution and follow-through Hands-on experience with AI tools, automation, or building lightweight systems to solve real problems Strong data and analytical skills.

You know how to structure a question, find the signal, and use it to make decisions Excellent communication skills.
