All Job Posting Locations: Bangalore, Karnataka, India Job Description: DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, GCC, located in Bangalore, India. The Sr. Manager, GCC (HR) is a senior people‑leader role responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the Global Capability Center (GCC) Human Resources function in Pune.
This role translates enterprise and business strategy into scalable HR solutions that enable growth, workforce effectiveness, and employee experience across the GCC. The role partners closely with global HR, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to build strong talent pipelines, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence.
This is an opportunity to shape a high‑impact GCC HR organization and influence outcomes at scale within a global orthopedics business. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the GCC HR organization, managing multiple teams and senior managers to deliver consistent, high‑quality HR services.
Translate DePuy Synthes and enterprise HR strategy into GCC‑specific operating models, workforce plans, and execution roadmaps. Partner with global and regional HR leaders to support talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
Oversee HR operational excellence across core areas including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy implementation. Ensure alignment with applicable labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards for India‑based operations.
Drive continuous improvement, metrics, and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and inform leadership decision‑making. Manage budgets, resource planning, and prioritization to support GCC growth and evolving business needs. Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture aligned with Johnson & Johnson Credo values and DePuy Synthes leadership expectations.
Where required to be managed locally: Document handling: Print, stamp/seal, mail/ship, distribute, and route documents for wet signatures. Records management: Store/archive/retrieve HR documents; fulfill requests; coordinate offsite storage; scan and name for Veeva.
Compliance/admin: Upload/ submit filings; print and hand-deliver to agencies; support audits and onsite audit coordination. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or a related field (required).
Master’s degree or MBA (preferred). Experience and Skills
Required
- Minimum 12–15 years of progressive HR experience , including senior people‑leader responsibility within large, complex, or global organizations.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi‑team HR operations or shared services/GCC environments.
- Strong knowledge of India labor laws, compliance, and HR governance requirements.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into HR programs and operational execution.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing at the executive level.
- Strong people‑leadership, coaching, and talent‑development capabilities
Preferred
- Experience supporting global or matrixed organizations within life sciences, medical devices, or regulated industries.
- Background in HR transformation, scaling operations, or building GCC capabilities.
- Experience using HR analytics and data‑driven insights to guide decisions.
- Familiarity with global HR operating models and shared services frameworks.
- Other: Language: Fluency in English required ; additional regional language skills are a plus.
- Travel: Up to 10–15%, domestic and limited international, as business needs require.
- Certifications: HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred .

- Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
