Job Purpose and Summary: This is a remote position and may sit anywhere within the U.S. The Sr. Manager works with the VP, CMO Aetna Medicare and the AVP, Deputy CMO, Medicare, Executive Director of Strategic Planning and business leads across the enterprise to achieve organizational goals for the Medicare Medical Affairs business unit to implement best in class policies, procedures
- plans for the area. Acts independently to address issues, guide direction
- provide analysis for planning initiatives. This role will include evaluation of business challenges, identifying and seizing new opportunities, prioritizing critical issues, securing executive level buy-in, implementing change
- generating demonstrable impact. In addition, Sr. Manager will facilitate efforts to develop clinical strategies and implement new innovation projects. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Sr. Manager works across the Aetna and CVS enterprise in a highly collaborative partnership with multiple business units to drive better clinical outcomes and cost-savings initiatives. The Sr. Manager is responsible for carrying out workstreams aimed at identifying opportunities, driving execution and monitoring performance to achieve desired population health outcomes. Responsibilities
- Manage strategic projects and programs workstreams, such as, Scorable Action Items, ensuring the end state of the project meets business objectives, agreed upon metrics and outlines deliverables with due dates.
- Work with Executive Director of Strategic Planning to engage with Med Affairs leaders and vendor management to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop analyses, presentations and other reporting materials to successfully implement change initiatives and socialize work to stakeholders. Position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office suite e.g., (PowerPoint and Excel).
- Navigate a highly matrixed, collaborative work environment to meet goals. Skilled at developing positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Proactively identify and take action to solve management and business problems.
- Ensure consistent, efficient, and cost-effective processes, procedures, and appropriate accountability. Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of management consulting experience, ideally within the health care sector.
- 2+ years experience in population health program design, health care operations and/or clinical product development. Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in related field (MBA, MPP, MPH, MPA, MHA, MSHP, etc.) preferred but not required.
- 2+ years work experience in managed care preferred but not required (preferably for Medicare and/or dual-eligible beneficiaries).
- 2+ years work experience in developing and maintain complex queries with data extraction, manipulation
- analysis of large datasets to support insight generation and hypothesis testing. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $67,900.00 - $199,144.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
