We Deliver – Together. The Opportunity: The Program Manager provides leadership and direction to the program and is responsible for overall management of the delivery of mission systems and support services associated with the program. The Program Manager is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the support team and for the delivery of services to fulfill KBR’s obligations against the statement of work.

These obligations include the setup, operation and maintenance of KBR elements of the Support System, and successful integration of KBR and Commonwealth elements of the Support System. Responsible for the Support Services Master Schedule and implementing the approved This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in Canberra or Brisbane.

The successful candidate must hold a n NV1 security clearance or higher

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery in accordance with established project management standards and governance frameworks.
  • Manage project deliverables, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project, stage, and exception plans, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and contingencies to minimise delivery impacts.
  • Oversee project resources, administration, reporting, and stakeholder communications, including progress and performance updates.
  • Collaborate with project assurance representatives and key stakeholders to maintain project integrity, quality, and alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Conduct project reviews and evaluations, capturing lessons learned and developing recommendations for continuous improvement and future initiatives .
  • As the ideal candidate you will bring: Minimum 5 years' experience delivering and managing projects from initiation through to implementation and execution.
  • Proven ability to lead project delivery, balancing scope, schedule, risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, or equivalent.
  • Defence project experience, including familiarity with ASDEFCON frameworks and the delivery of projects across diverse business functions, will be highly regarded.
  • All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance .
