About the role The Inventory Controls Manager supports the Americas supply chain operations. This role is key in supporting optimal inventory levels. Key priorities include: managing the inventory controls team, working with third party logistics providers (3PL) to manage the inventory reconciliation process, supporting month-end-close process, defining the overall strategy
  • setting standards of physical inventory audits. Key responsibilities include: Oversee transaction recording for all inventory movements. Ensure inventory levels in SAP are accurate by identifying, researching, analyzing
  • resolving discrepancies. Support the month-end-close process by completing various inventory reports and analyses. Collaborate cross functionally to identify, evaluate
  • implement initiatives. Provide internal and external auditors with all required documentation. Manage the retailer return process. Ensure credits are issued accurately and timely. Guide the team in analyzing and researching issues to ensure quick resolution. Analyze returns to identify trends/issues, evaluate the data and issue reporting to senior leadership.   • manage inventory movement processes with third party logistics providers. Manage relationships with 3PL warehouses across the Americas
  • developing and driving best practices in warehouses. Support refurbishment operations via inventory transaction management, process improvement and engaged partnership Effectively communicate expectations and needs to maintain accurate inventory levels. Determine proper processes for non-standard transactions, clearly defining and communicating requirements. Own the annual physical inventory count, including developing work instructions, analyzing results
  • reporting to senior leadership, per Dyson’s internal policies. Strategically lead the inventory function and drive continuous improvement. Demonstrate strong reporting and analytical skills, including publishing a monthly dashboard of Inventory KPI’s to senior leadership. Work with system teams to modify and advance SAP functionality, minimizing manual interventions. Be adaptable and relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role. Support Supply Chain special projects, such as RFP’s, warehouse moves, retail specific kitting projects, etc. Be a detail oriented, analytical thinker who can thrive in a fast paced environment.   • lead the inventory team. About you 7+ years of experience in inventory experience. 5+ years of experience in a CPG company. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, operations management
  • supply chain or similar required. Experience in SAP. Prior experience in month-end-close. Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain processes. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with 3PLs, Managed Services and other external partners. Solutions oriented individual who can provide solutions to minimize impact and deliver results. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Understanding of the end-to-end product flow inside a warehouse. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively. Demonstrate strong follow-through capabilities. Strong leadership and communication skills with all levels of the organization. Sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines .
