Job Description
Posting Title: Senior Compensation & Benefits Advisor Experience: 10+ years Location: Bangalore Job Family Definition: Plans, designs, develops, analyzes, communicates, and implements Total Rewards (TR) strategies and programs consistent with the company business and HR strategies across the businesses, functions, and/or geographic areas of the company.
Consults with and trains business leaders to develop, plan and implement TR solutions to address unique organizational needs and requirements. Manages consultants, vendors, employees, and third parties in a heavily matrixed organization to ensure program delivery.
Analyzes and interprets internal and external data to model changes to various reward elements such as base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, health and welfare, and retirement programs. Examines impact of rewards on the total organization and various sub-groups including Board members, executives, sales employees, and specific business segments.
Monitors legal and regulatory changes to ensure compliance. Integrates reward programs with complimentary systems (e.g., Performance Management and Talent Management). Management Level Definition: Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. You will be part of the Total Rewards (TR) team with primary responsibility for supporting Australia and New Zealand. The role may evolve over time to support other countries within the Asia Pacific region.
The team is responsible for planning, designing, developing, analyzing, communicating, and implementing Total Rewards strategies and programs aligned with business and HR objectives. Using both internal and external data, the team benchmarks and models changes to various reward elements including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, health and welfare programs, and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities Conduct benchmarking exercises, research data sources, and analyze market trends to make recommendations on Total Rewards programs, including salary structure reviews. Manage country-specific benefits programs and policies, including renewals, enrollments, program launches, and communications.
Participate in external and regulatory surveys and analyze employee, market, and financial data. Participate in external forums to gather insights on Total Rewards practices and maintain awareness of market trends and competitiveness. Drive and coordinate employee wellbeing initiatives and programs.
Manage consultants, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure effective program delivery. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve business issues and employee concerns. Act as an escalation point for complex cases and recommend process improvements where appropriate.
Educate and advise employees and managers on compensation and benefits programs, serving as a subject matter expert for assigned countries. Monitor and regularly review Total Rewards programs, policies, and practices to ensure effectiveness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Participate in regional and global HR and Total Rewards projects as required. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in Compensation, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, and/or Human Resources.
Significant experience supporting compensation and benefits programs in Australia and New Zealand ; broader APAC experience is desirable. Proven experience managing rewards and benefits programs, including vendor and consultant partnerships.
Strong knowledge of compensation benchmarking, market pricing, salary surveys, pay equity, and benefits administration. In-depth understanding of the legal and regulatory environment related to employee compensation and benefits. Strong research, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets. Excellent communication, consulting, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make recommendations that drive business impact. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCP or equivalent) are a plus.
