The team focuses on areas such as unified recurring revenue metrics, partner growth metrics, validation and automation programs, and policy initiatives. By working closely with cross‑functional customers across business and technology teams, SP finds opportunities to streamline processes, enable automation, and enhance operational efficiency.
The team plays a key role in evaluating customer and business requirements, building business cases, and driving next‑generation solutions that support Cisco’s evolving business models. Your Impact As a Business Operations Analyst within the Strategic Programs team, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology.
This role focuses on supporting recurring revenue metrics initiatives and validation programs while improving operational efficiency through automation and process optimization. You will collaborate with customers across business, data, and technology teams to define validation strategies, implement testing plans, and ensure alignment with product and program objectives.
In this role, you will analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve cycle time. Responsibilities include: Design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual intervention in testing and validation scenarios.
Develop test strategies, create detailed test scenarios, record results, and publish integrated test reports. Coordinate Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) plans and work closely with cross‑functional customers to ensure validation readiness.
Analyze recurring revenue metrics, partner incentives, and operational data to support strategic program initiatives. Engage with partners through meetings, stand‑ups, and feedback loops to ensure alignment with program objectives and product vision.
Identify and help resolve complex operational issues impacting program execution and business direction. Evaluate current processes, identify gaps, and recommend technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of professional experience in Customer Experience (CX), IT, Data, Operations, Consulting, or related business functions, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with software or SaaS business models. Proven experience in testing, validation processes, or Business Acceptance Testing (BAT). Ability to build business cases and develop analytical models to support decision-making. Experience analyzing operational processes and implementing improvements through automation or technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Cisco business processes, tools, policies, and data exchange/flow across systems. Experience working across global teams in both business and technology environments. Strong storytelling and communication skills for executive-level presentations.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex problems and structure solutions. Experience with initiatives that reduced manual effort through process redesign or automation with measurable operational impact. Why Cisco? Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $114,400.00 - $171,300.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $100,200.00 - $153,200.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
