This Rack Decom Manager will manage a team that provides the decommission, tracking
  • audits of all media. This includes but is not limited to all media types (disks, solid state disks, flash cards etc). The Rack Decom Manager will be responsible for arranging the destruction of media and decommissioned racks through approved vendors. Some destruction will be done by internal team. Key job responsibilities -Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly -Coordinate change management resources -Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues -Manage and deliver mid-size projects -Recommend, document
  • oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs -Manage a diverse team of decom technicians with varying skills -Provide weekly report to the Cluster Manager -Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations -Recruit and train decom technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels -Write and deliver performance reviews for staff
  • 4+ years of technical team management experience - 4+ years of experience in a data center technology role and/or 4 + years of knowledge with Networking or Computer hardware.
  • 2+ years of data center experience - Experience in technical writing in a relevant field - Experience contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment - Work a flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights
